Agile•1 Receives Safe Harbor Certification
Certification assures that Agile•1 satisfies
data privacy requirements of the European Union
TORRANCE, Calif., April 21, 2009 —Agile•1, a leading provider of workforce software and service solutions, announced today that it has been granted Safe Harbor certification by the United States Department of Commerce. This certification verifies that Agile•1 software data collection practices are in compliance with the individual user privacy protections required by the European Union and Switzerland.
The Safe Harbor framework was developed by the United States Department of Commerce, in association with the European Commission, to provide guidelines for the safe transfer of personal data from European countries to the U.S. The guidelines create a standard that bridges the gap in policy definitions between countries, placing strict standards on how individual system user data can be stored, accessed and shared. By certifying to the Safe Harbor, U.S. companies support the privacy interests of individual system users, avoid possible interruptions in business dealings with the EU and mitigate the risk of prosecution by European authorities under European authority laws.

The Agile•1 privacy policy, addressing the Safe Harbor Framework, is available on the Agile•1 website privacy page. Agile•1 is certified to Safe Harbor for one-year, beginning April 13, 2009, and will seek to reaffirm this commitment prior to the anniversary date in 2010.
