Amid a tumultuous economic swirl, HR activities abound as a result of recent laws. President Obama signed into law the Ledbetter Act that should change how HR updates record-keeping policies, reviews compensation structures and monitors managers’ discretionary funds. Agile•1 will host a facilitated, interactive dialogue with HR leaders on the impact of this law and best-practices to address them. |

Signed into law by President Bush in 2008 and taking effect January 1, 2009, the ADAAA significantly expands the number of people protected under the ADA. As a result HR must ensure companies are prepared to accommodate and put into effect proactive processes to address claims, potential claims and perceived disabilities, as well as take into account state laws which may or may not require more compliance.
